Tipping their cowboy hats to the Wild wild West, Exotopia hit all the right notes in their newest release, “Snake Oil For Sale”. Technical, Progressive, and Composed with precision, the near seven minute instrumental single showcases the modern Prog metal sound ala Between The Buried and Me and the interesting chord voicings of The Faceless. With satirical passages featuring several cartoon television clips, the track seamlessly blends genres including tech death, prog, and even an elevator section with notes flying around in a cacophonous manner. The song guides the listener on a sonic journey with a brand new musical opus that is determined to make it’s mark on the face of modern metal.
